Antique Asian carved lap desk, traveling desk, jewelry box.  Dovetailed & pinned construction, hand painted scenery on all sides except for bottom. 

This piece was over coated at some point there is evidence of a couple drip marks indicating so.  There is no key that comes with this piece.

There is a small lock on the top of the box where the removable 1/2 cover can be removed.  There was a lock originally in the lower drawer – however it was removed at some point and replaced with wood.  We’re not sure if it is a painted scenery or done in ink.
