“Eats”, An antique original oil painting in gilt frame, signed on front, with inscription and possible original purchasers information on back.   Signed in lower left corner on front is undecipherable.  In pencil a written inscription on back with title “Eats” and price of $40 – by Wm J Boylan in script.  William J Boylan was an artist working in Brooklyn, NY in the early part of the 20th century.  The estate this painting came from was from New York City, so we believe this is the identifying artist.

William J. Boylan was a member of the Brooklyn Society of Artists in 1917 (as found in research).
