(SOLD) Folk Art Framed Mixed Media Needlepoint by David E. Bell 2004

What a great contemporary mixed media folk art sculpture by David E Bell (1921-2006). Consisting of a found object antique box “TIMKEN, Removable Kog Bits” with an inset panel and frame consisting of a needlepoint with some fabric and a paper cutout with an eye print on it.  Signed with title illegible and what appears to be a date of 12/04 on back.

This piece is by late designer David E. Bell of Washington, CT. David was always an artist, but first was an actor on stage in NYC, and then head of the Bloomingdale’s Interior Design dept in the 60’s-70’s and then a principle in the design firm Design Multiples in the 80’s. This piece is from his estate in Washington, CT.
