An original lithograph, exhibition poster on heavy cream Strathmore paper by American artist Robert Motherwell (1915-1992) titled “Greenwich Arts Council”, 1976. Limited edition: 700. (There was also a signed and numbered edition of 50). Printed by Tyler Graphics, Ltd., Mount Kisco, NY and published by the Greenwich Arts Council, Greenwich, CT. Poster produced for Motherwell’s special exhibition at the Greenwich Arts Council from June – October, 1976. Artist’s copyright stamp lower left and publisher’s stamp lower right. The image featured on this poster is of Motherwell’s 1972 acrylic painting on paper “Greenwich Sculpture”. Reference: “Catalogue Raisonné – The Prints of Robert Motherwell” – Terenzio: Appendix: No. 28; Engberg No. 202. Sheet size: 37.25″ x 23″.

Condition: Appears to have been previously framed with matting that blocked out some of the poster area as you can see some color shift of the white where it was previously covered.
