We believe this to be a contemporary art piece and from a Japanese artist. Is it a cat? Is it someone raising their arm with the sun in the background? Is it two love birds sitting atop a box singing as the sun rises high in the sky? We don’t know – and love to ponder what the artist intentions were.

A very talented and skilled artist made this piece, signed on the lower front of the piece, and multiple writings on the back. The framing is part of the art with dovetailed joinery, appears to be made of multiple species of wood cuts.
