Offering a unique modernist upcycled fairly large size vase made from very thick leather.  The leather is stiff with a beautiful warm rich patina varying tones of red and brown depending on the light.  The vase is three sided with a flared bottom, each side is stitched and each side has a woven leather strap terminating at the top in an arrow.  The bottom is marked IL & ELLE 2005

The inside is lined with melted wax. There are a few cracks in the wax so it is not water tight at the moment. We would recommend using a glass liner if you intend to use with live flowers.  This would look great with dried florals, branches, feathers and other decorative elements, and it presents itself as a very sculptural piece standing on its own.  Possibly made from equestrian riding boots?
